Théo Vasseur is a pen name: the byline under which Le Bazar de Babylone, the company that publishes Companion Index, signs every article here. The director of publication is named in the legal notice. The name stands for an editorial line, not for an expert or a credential. The About page explains why I publish under a pseudonym. What the reviews rest on

Each article looks at what an AI girlfriend or companion app costs, how it bills, what its terms say and what its features really give you. The sources are the app's pricing page, terms of service, privacy policy and help center, plus what users report on public forums and in the press.

Scored reviews use eight axes, each out of ten, averaged into one rating; the methodology explains them. Affiliate commissions do not move a score, and the affiliate disclosure explains how the site earns money.

I have used Candy AI and OurDream AI personally, on paid plans. Other reviews are based on the apps' own pages, terms and user reports.
