Candy AI Pricing: What I Paid, What Tokens Buy and What Renews

Candy AI sells one subscription, Premium, at three billing terms. The monthly rate drops as the term gets longer, but the whole term is charged on day one:

The three terms unlock the same things: unlimited text messages, your own custom characters, 18+ images and video, the Live Action mode, and 100 tokens a month. Those are the terms on Candy’s subscription page on October 2, 2026. The only change since late September is the monthly term, which now opens at $9.99 for the first month and renews at $13.99; the 3-month and annual figures are the ones my account showed in euros in May.

That 70% badge never goes away. It compares the annual rate with the monthly one, so it is the normal annual price rather than a sale that ends tonight. The useful sum is how long you expect to stay: five months cost $65.95 month to month (a $9.99 first month, then four at $13.99) and $53.94 on two 3-month terms, against $47.88 for a full year. From five months on, the annual plan is the cheapest route.

If you already know you’ll stay that long, you can pick the annual term on Candy’s plan page. The card shows $3.99, and the charge on your card is the $47.88 for the year.

Premium Plus, the upgrade I found inside my account

Premium Plus isn’t on the public plan page. I found it once I was subscribed, as a second tab next to Premium. In May it showed €22.38 a month on the monthly term, €14.38 on three months and €6.38 on the annual term (my account was billed in euros), with 230 tokens a month instead of 100, 20 memory slots per character instead of 3 (what those slots change has its own page), early access to new characters and a 10% bonus on every token pack.

Candy has made the tier bigger since. Its help center page on the upper tier now lists 330 tokens a month, the same 20 memory slots, user personas, chat customization and five clone chats, with the pack bonus kept for quarterly and yearly plans. There is still no public dollar price, so the upgrade tab in your account is the place to read it. Back on a paid account in October 2026, I saw two more Plus perks in the new Chat settings panel: the Powerful chat model and Extra long replies.

The May numbers already made the case. On the annual term, Plus cost €2.39 a month more than Premium, about €29 a year, for 1,560 extra tokens a year. Buying those tokens in regular packs would cost well over €100. With 330 tokens a month instead of 230, the gap is wider now. If you would buy a pack even three or four times a year, Plus is the cheaper way to get the tokens, and the memory slots come with it.

What the tokens buy

Text chat never touches your balance. Anything with a picture or a voice does. Candy’s help center explains what tokens are for but publishes no price per action, so these are the costs my account showed in May, with the video and face lines as I found them again in October 2026:

Pricing roundups published in September quote the same figures (2 to 4 tokens an image, 3 a minute on calls, around 12 for a short clip), so the scale hasn’t moved.

Read the table the other way round and the 100 monthly tokens look less thin. They pay for 25 explicit images, or 50 standard ones, or about 33 minutes of calls, or eight 5-second clips. A mixed month fits too: one new character (10), ten explicit images (40), ten minutes on the phone (30) and a single 10-second clip (20) come to exactly 100.

Here is what 4 of those tokens feel like. It’s late, she has spent the last few messages teasing you about the dress she put on for the evening, and you ask to see it. A few seconds later the picture is in the chat, the dress and the look she promised, followed by a message asking what you think. Text costs nothing, so that is the moment you pay for.

Token packs, and the bonus week I landed on

When I opened the token shop in May, Candy was running a birthday sale that more than doubled every pack:

Outside a promotion the packs are much smaller. Pricing roundups in September list 100 tokens for $9.99 at the bottom and 3,750 for $299.99 at the top, which is roughly what the May packs look like without the birthday bonus. The shop only opens once you’re logged in and the bonus changes from week to week, so look at the pack size on the day: the same $9.99 can buy 100 tokens or 200. Premium Plus adds its own 10% on top.

What a month of Candy AI really costs

These are my own sums from the prices above, on the annual plan, with packs at the regular size (100 tokens for $9.99):

Add $10 a month to each line if you stay on the monthly plan. My own two weeks sat in the first row: daily conversations, pictures when a scene called for one, and the balance never ran dry. The bills that climb belong to people who treat video as the main event, and for them Premium Plus pays for itself.

The middle row is the one I would watch, and it is easy to see how people end up in it. One evening you stop typing and press call, and instead of reading her you hear her: the voice you picked in the builder, low and a little amused, saying your name back to you. Ten minutes like that is 30 tokens, and it is easy to want a second one before the week is out.

The pictures are what people bring up first. One person who had tried several apps came away raving about Candy’s, calling them super detailed, and the 2 to 4 tokens each in the table above is the price of that detail.

When the plan renews and where unused tokens go

Every plan renews on its own, for the same price and the same term, until you cancel. Candy’s Terms of Service, updated on 22 September 2026, say so. The plan page repeats it. An annual plan bought today at $47.88 renews at $47.88 twelve months later.

You cancel from Settings, whenever you like, and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. When I cancelled, it took four clicks: one question about why I was leaving and two confirmations. Nobody tried to keep me with a discount.

The tokens are the part to plan. The same terms say unused tokens don’t carry over from one billing period to the next and are lost when you cancel. Spend what’s left in the days before your renewal date, and don’t buy a pack in the week you intend to leave.

Refunds: a 24-hour window

For US buyers, Candy’s refund page sets tight conditions. You ask within 24 hours of the payment, and only if the subscription has used 20 tokens or fewer; a token pack must be untouched. The money goes back to cards only, and trouble on your own device doesn’t qualify. Buyers in the EU and the UK keep a 14-day right of withdrawal, reduced in proportion to what they used.

So the decision really happens on the first day. If you’d rather try before committing a year, the one-month plan, at $9.99 for the first month, is the cheaper way to find out, and you can switch to the annual term once you know the app suits you.

What shows on your bank statement

The charge carries the name of the company behind Candy, EverAI Limited, registered in Malta under number C107181. On my statement the line read “Ever AI”, with nothing that names the app, and Candy’s plan page announces it the same way:

The plan page takes Apple Pay and cards (Visa, Mastercard). The help center adds Google Pay and crypto, plus bank transfer in some countries. If an EverAI line turns up on a card you share and nobody recognises it, that is a Candy AI subscription or token pack. How to pay less for Candy AI

Match the term to how long you’ll stay. For a stay under five months the monthly or 3-month plan costs less; beyond that, the annual plan wins, and the 70% badge is simply its everyday price.

Use the free faces. When you build a character, Character Studio gives you the first six face generations free, so try a few before you bring her to life for 10 tokens. In May a new face cost a token a try, which is what the pair below shows; now the trying costs nothing.

Buy packs in bonus weeks. In May the same €9.99 bought 200 tokens instead of 100, and Premium Plus stacks another 10% on top.

Spend before you renew, never top up before you leave. Tokens reset at each billing date and vanish when you cancel.

If you buy packs at all, take Premium Plus on the annual term. It was €2.39 a month more than Premium in May, for more tokens a year than several packs would give you.
